The Borrego Springs Rotary Foundation was incorporated in November 2004 by the founders of the Borrego Springs Rotary Club. The Foundation is incorporated as a nonprofit public benefit corporation operating under the laws of California. The corporation is organized and operated exclusively for charitable purposes within the meaning of IRC Section 501 (c) 3.

The mission of the Foundation is to promote and finance the charitable purposes of the Rotary Club of Borrego Springs. Major activities of the Foundation are to budget and account for finances, promote the good works of the Club, raise funds for charitable activities of the Club and oversee the proper awarding of funds. This fiscal year the Club has awarded 29 scholarships, will fund competitive grants and its ongoing projects, such as the Miss Borrego program. Administrative expenses of the Club are covered by member dues.

The Foundation and Club have no employees; we are all volunteers. All members of the Club are members of the Foundation. Members elect a Board of Directors of the Foundation which exercises the business and affairs of the corporation.
